Chapter 2 - Return of the Ultimate Life
As the capsule approached Earth, Knuckles noticed Sonic was still angry. "You couldn't save him, so don't beat yourself up about it," Knuckles said as he put his arm on Sonic's shoulder.
"Just leave me alone," Sonic growled, and knocked Knuckles' hand away.
"Sonic, what happened out there?" Tails asked, "The Cyclone's computer that monitored you and Shadow was reading energy that was off the charts.
Sonic paused, "The what in the what what?"
* Sonic has anime sweat drop *
* Everyone does anime fall (even the walkers) *
"I'll do some research on it when we get home," Tails said

When the world's saviors landed on Earth, an enormous crowd greeted them. They were jumping up and down to see Sonic and everyone else. Photographers were flashing an endless barrage of flashes. Sonic just bowed his head in shame. Then he heard a voice; it was the President's.
"Mister Sonic, would you like to see your gifts you earned for saving the Earth?"
Sonic paused, he was getting all the spoils by doing half the work, no, not even half. Shadow stalled the Bio Lizard, and gave the final hazard the final blow that saved the Earth! Sonic hunched over (like Goku or Vegeta powering up on DBZ) and released the same deafening roar from when on ARK. He once again turned gold; he was Super again, but it didn't stop there, his quills grew longer, and his eyes went blank again. Sonic was releasing so much energy doing this, it forced everyone down and huge clouds of dust arose. Then it all suddenly stopped. Knuckles was the first to get up and saw Sonic lying on the ground, he was back to normal; he began to stutter " I-It c-can't be, was a Super 2?"

One week later…
Amy sighed. She was out on the balcony of her apartment. She gazed at the moon in the night sky. She was leaning over the railing of the balcony, resting her head in her arms. There was a funeral for Shadow earlier that evening that Sonic arranged to honor his noble sacrifice.

"They're winning!" I yelled after Sonic hit the Final Hazard.
"According to my calculations, Shadow needs to hit him once more, and we'll win this." Eggman said.
Shadow began to charge at him.
"He's doing really good," I said as I saw him dodge every laser or egg that it shot at him. Then I saw that he was covered in the eggs and they were crushing him. "Shadow!" I cried out when I saw this. I noticed every one staring at me, and I could feel my face blush from embarrassment. Everyone turned back when Shadow burst out of the eggs.
" Yeees!" I whispered to myself.
Then we all saw Shadow charge the creature, and then he hesitated.
"Huh?" Rouge said
"He's hesitating," Tails said
"Never mind, he's attacking!" Knuckles yelled
Then we all saw the lizard-thing let out a cry, and dropped its neck. I then heard Tails said something on his walkie-talkie to Sonic, but I couldn't hear it. Then I saw the huge Chaos Control, and then Shadow was falling toward Earth.
"Noooooo, Shaaaaadooooowwww!" Everyone started to yell, but I noticed Eggman was grinning. Then the colony began to shake violently again. It lasted about a minute and then stopped.
"Shadow…" I said to myself
>End of flashback (A/N back to 3rd person POV)>
After the incident, everyone started new lives. Sonic reluctantly accepted his gifts. They include a full furnished house, a Mercedes Bends, a 65" plasma screen T.V. and a life-time supply of chili dogs, which he didn't think twice about. Tails is currently living with Sonic in Station Square. Rouge and Knuckles are on Angel Island. Everyone was happy living with someone, but Amy.
Amy sighed; it was now 6 months since the incident, Shadow and the Final Hazard. Amy was on her balcony. She leaned over the railing, resting her hands in her head. She looked up at the starry sky. Amy couldn't get the thoughts of ARK out of her head. She remembered Shadow and his noble sacrifice; she shed a tear out of loneliness and the memory of his sacrifice. Then she noticed the first star in the sky. She realized the star was getting bigger, and it was coming straight toward her! At least she thought it was, but it went over her apartment, and in the front yard. She couldn't see much because of the blazing light. Amy immediately went to investigate the front yard and gasped at what she saw…
